Telangana Police SI Recruitment Selection Process

Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board (TSLPRB) has set the selection process for the Telangana SI, which includes 5 stages. Candidates must qualify all stages to be recruited as Sub Inspector in Telangana Police

Telangana Police SI Prelims Exam Pattern

The Telangana Police SI exam will consist of Objective Type Questions and will be available in English, Telugu, and Urdu languages. To qualify, candidates must score a minimum of 40% marks for OC, 35% for BC, and 30% for SC/ST/Ex-servicemen categories.

Candidates who successfully qualify the Preliminary Written Examination will have to appear for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). 

  • Male candidates must complete 1.6 Km within 7 minutes and 15 seconds
  • Female candidates are required to complete an 800-meter run within 5 minutes and 20 seconds.
Telangana Police SI Mains Exam Pattern

The examination will be of 3 hours duration and will include both an objective and descriptive section, where 25% of the marks (1/4th) will be subtracted for each incorrect answer in the objective section.

SI Syllabus for Prelims

The Prelims Exam consitst ot two sections : Reasoning / Mental Ability and General Studies. A total of 200 multiple choice questions (MCQ’s) will be asked, with 100 questions in each sections. The exam duration is 3 hours. The questions will be objective in nature and available in English, Telugu and Urdu. 

Note : To qualify for the Preliminary Exam, candidates must secure at least 40% for OC’s, 35% for BC’s & 30% for SC/ST/Ex-servicemen.
